Program Description:
Planning for resilient communities and neighborhoods takes alignment of resources, partnerships with multiple stakeholders, and creative funding sources to achieve sustainability goals. Hear from the East Falls Development Corporation, the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation, and the City of Hoboken on how they are working through challenges to implement impactful resilience projects and the tangible economic development benefits for their communities. Learn about the City of Philadelphia’s new initiatives for climate resilience and programs to support neighborhoods across the city.

1. Examine how capital investments and infrastructure upgrades can address coastal flooding and storm water management.
2. Summarize the goals and outcomes of the City of Philadelphia’s Sustainability Plans and evaluate the impacts to the city.
